Dual Certified Middle School Language Teacher (French/Spanish)
Hunt Middle School is seeking a Dual Certified French and Spanish Teacher to join their school. The individual should be licensed in both languages to be eligible for this position. This position requires teaming with other Spanish and French teachers to plan curriculum in a professional learning community and support students from diverse backgrounds
finding success as they transition into high school.
Experience teaching Spanish and French at the middle school level.
Experience with Common Core Standards and technology-based learning into world language instruction.
Experience in differentiating instruction and planning curriculum using "backwards design" and formative assessments.
Understanding of Cultural Competency (as explained through Essay 1 on SchoolSpring).
Knowledge of best practices in engaging and motivating students and managing student
Participation in professional learning community groups including working collaboratively
with colleagues to plan units of study, review student data and progress, and adjust
A commitment to student-centered learning approaches including personalizing
instruction and supporting students meeting core proficiencies
Training and experience with English Language Learners and students with disabilities.
Evidence of a strong connection with students and families.
Strong communication skills as evidenced through quality of resume, cover letter, and
