Phoenix Country Day School is seeking a full-time faculty member in the area of Upper School Mathematics for the 20221-2023 school year. The position requires the ability to teach a range of classes across the curriculum including Precalculus and Calculus. Faculty may also have the opportunity to teach an elective course in an area of expertise. In addition to teaching 4-5 class sections, full-time faculty members serve as advisors to groups of 8-10 students. A successful candidate will have experience teaching Mathematics in a rigorous academic environment, preferably at the secondary school level, and will be enthusiastic about working collaboratively with colleagues. We seek candidates who value inclusive classrooms and curricula, who are committed to every student’s learning, who are fluent in current pedagogical approaches, and who are actively working to improve their craft. Candidates must also model the qualities that we expect in our students: curiosity, perseverance, compassion, and integrity.
