EXTRACURRICULAR POSITION FOR THE 2021-2022 SCHOOL YEAR ONLY:
JOB TITLE: Virtual Special Education Teacher
LOCATION: Grafton High School
TO WHOM RESPONSIBLE: Director of Special Education/School Admin
FUNDING SOURCE ESSERF Round 2/ARP
RATE: $20/HR (Up to 6 hours a week; on an as-needed basis)
The successful applicant for this position must possess and /or show evidence of the following:
Valid WV Teaching Certificate in the area for which applying
Strong academic background
Knowledge of how to use a variety of teaching strategies to effectively teach students with varying levels of ability in the subject matter to be taught, and proven ability to effectively deal with students of various abilities and proficiencies in planning lessons to meet their needs.
FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:
Will be responsible for Special Education Students who are receiving virtual instruction.
You will be facilitating the learning from the Edgenuity Platform.
Weekly contact is required on a contact log to be turned in with timesheets
Includes case management/special education documentation for high school students. (Ex: IEP’s, progress reports, medicaid, etc.)
